PTFE Strips

Solid PTFE strips cut to width and length for guides, wear interfaces and insulation. Specify straightness, thickness and mounting details for the contact path.

  • Solid PTFE strips rather than coated fabric tape
  • Continuous contact widths or cut lengths
  • Hole and adhesive-treatment requirements to specification

Choose the width around the contact

A strip gives a continuous contact path. State the supported span and the surface it covers so the width and thickness follow the available mounting area.

For guides, specify fastener positions and the end shape. A straight unmounted strip is a different supply item from a drilled guide secured along its length.

Separate solid strips from adhesive fabric

A solid PTFE strip has no woven carrier. Fabric-backed release tape and film adhesive tape are separate products with different handling and mounting behavior.

Untreated PTFE is difficult to bond. If adhesive mounting is required, define the treatment, adhesive and substrate together rather than assuming the bare strip is self-adhesive.

Ordering Questions

Are the strips adhesive-backed by default?

No. Adhesive or etched bonding options must be included in the order specification.

Can strips be supplied with drilled holes?

Yes. Show the hole positions, diameters and any countersinks with the required strip length.
