The housing holds the bushing while the bore controls shaft clearance. Specify the assembled fit for each interface rather than applying one nominal tolerance to the entire sleeve.
Thermal expansion and compression from the housing can alter the running bore. Give the operating temperature and installation method when these effects control clearance.
The PTFE compound and the mating surface act as a pair. Load, speed, finish and lubrication influence wear, so a filled grade is selected against the actual duty.
A flange can locate the sleeve axially or provide a thrust face. State which surface carries load so the profile and inspection focus match the installed function.

No. This page covers custom PTFE-bodied sleeves and bushings. A metal-backed bearing has a different construction and fit specification.
Some compounds suit dry sliding, but the load, speed and counterface still need assessment. Dry-running capability is not a blanket rating for every bushing.
