Drawing-based components

PTFE Liners

PTFE liners, sleeves and fitted contact barriers for equipment surfaces and fluid paths. Define support, retention and the exposed process media.

  • Sleeve and shaped lining components
  • Fluid-contact geometry to equipment dimensions
  • Retention and support included in the specification

These components are made to the required geometry. The drawing defines the finished dimensions and interfaces.

Define the host component

A liner depends on the surrounding equipment for support and positioning. Provide the host bore, flange detail or cavity so the insert fits without blocking the intended flow path.

Show any stops, lips or retained edges. A liner that can move with thermal cycling or pressure changes needs an installation arrangement that controls that movement.

Choose the barrier for the process

The media and cleaning cycle determine the material discussion. Include concentration and operating temperature rather than identifying only a broad chemical family.

A free-standing sleeve and a supported equipment liner have different mechanical duties. Do not assign the host equipment pressure rating to an unsupported PTFE insert.

Ordering Questions

Are PTFE liners bonded automatically?

No. State the retention method. Adhesive bonding requires a suitable treated surface and a compatible adhesive system.

Can a liner be selected from an equipment bore alone?

The bore is only part of the specification. Length, wall, retention, temperature and process conditions also affect the fit.
